Today I would like to share with you a great link which will help you develop your knowledge and understanding of the latest words to have been introduced into the English language.

About Words is a blog by Cambridge Dictionaries which introduces and explains the words and phrases which are new to the English language as well as those words and phrases whose meanings have been updated.

You will find it really interesting to see how many new words are added to the English language each day, how these words have been developed, and how they are used. Also, it is interesting to see that most of the new words introduced are words which belong to the world of the internet.

As you can see, the explanations and example sentences given are very simple and easy to understand. Add the words that you like to your vocabulary list or personal dictionary and challenge yourself to use them as much as possible. You could even start a new game where you say the new word to your friends and they have to guess the meaning – sounds like fun!
