I just found a really clever resource and thought I just have to share it with you straight away…here is the Tip Of My Tongue Project.

How often have you spent half the day thinking and thinking of what a particular word is, but it has simply not popped into your head? It happens to everyone, not just you! Well, with Tip Of My Tongue, this problem may soon be behind you! All you need to do is enter the information that you can, and the website will do the rest for you…

Simply fill in the information in any of the fields above – you can fill in as many or as few as you want – and there is a high chance that your frustration at not being able to think of the word will be soon be over. The goal of this application is to provide fast results and to help you narrow down the options for the word you are looking for.

I tried it for myself for the word ‘acquisition’ – have a look at what happened:


I typed a few letters into the above fields and also included the meaning of the word, and the result popped up immediately:

How great is that! Why don’t you try it yourself with some other words – all you need to do is enter some information (even just the first letter or last letter of the word will already give you a list of possibilities).
