Hi everyone!
Today I would like to share with you a website known as ABC Fast Phonics. This is an effective learning tool for those of you who wish to improve your ‘reading out loud’ skills and your pronunciation of individual sounds and of letter combinations.

The great thing about ABC Fast Phonics is that it presents information in a very simple way and that if you follow the advice and exercises given you will quickly feel more confident about the way you sound. This free learning resource uses cartoons and sounds, along with simple audio explanations and clickable words, to teach basic phonic concepts and presents simple easy to follow rules for vowels, consonants and blends.

I believe that this website could be used at any age to develop confidence in reading out loud and in pronouncing sound combinations more accurately – it is especially useful for those of you who have children and who need to read them story books in the English language – a quick visit to ABC Fast Phonics and attempt at the varied practice exercises may be all you need to more confidently read in a foreign language in front of your child.

As you can see below, the areas of sounds and letters, words, consonants and vowels, blends, and common words are all covered.
