Hi everyone!
Today I would like to share with you a great grammar website which I know you will benefit from and enjoy. It is called Grammar Challenge and is part of the BBC’s wonderful Learning English resources.
What I like best about Grammar Challenge is that it focuses on difficult grammar concepts and that these are presented and clearly explained by other English language learners from around the world – so, instead of learning from teachers, you have the chance to learn each grammar point from your peers. How great is that!

One example is with the tricky use of for and since. In this episode, Hye Jung from South Korea explains the usage of and differences between the two:

You can listen to the program directly, or you can download it to your computer in MP3 format. Also, additional written information is given so that you can understand the grammar point even more deeply. You can also download the transcript of Hye Jung’s explanation and can complete several practice quizzes to test whether you have fully understood the grammar which was presented.
Another example is with definite articles. In this episode Diana from Columbia will tell you all about when and when not to use ‘the’.
Again, you can listen to the audio, or you can download it in MP3 format to your computer. You can also access the additional written explanations, read the transcript, and complete the additional quizzes.
You are not limited to the above topics either – the list of grammatical topics covered is long. Here are some examples:
–Question Tags
–Uncountable Nouns
–Passives
–Present Perfect and Past Simple
–Reported Speech
As you will see from the above topics, all grammar points are presented by English language students – and the best bit about this is that they are from all over the world, so you will be introduced to a large number of different English accents. You will hear English speakers from Columbia, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey, China, Italy and many more.
So, what are you waiting for? Visit BBC”s Grammar Challenge today – I know that you will learn something new and that you will enjoy the opportunity to be taught by another English language learner.
