Hi everyone!
Today I would like to share with you a great grammar handbook which I recently discovered online – it has been put together by the trusted people at Grammarly (in a future post I will write about Grammarly and how it can help you) and it includes clear simple explanations of the most important areas of grammar.
The Grammarly Handbook focuses on the areas of Grammar, Punctuation, Mechanics and Sentence Style and Clarity. Each of these go into great detail and provide excellent explanations and examples.
Here are some of my favourites:
–Adjectives and adverbs
–Prepositions
–Pronouns
–Commas
–Apostrophes
–Phrasal Verbs and Idioms
–Conditionals
–Negatives
Many other great grammar topics are covered too – have a look for yourself!
There is also a special section of the Grammarly Handbook which focusses on writing skills improvement, including the basics of writing, academic writing requirements, organisation and development, revising and editing, and research and documentation. Here are some of my favourites:
–Planning
–Writing Paragraphs
–Essay Writing
–Writing Concisely
–Researching
Again, many other great writing topics are covered – have a look for yourself!
So, add the Grammarly Handbook to your list of favourites and work your way through the topics, I am sure you will find it useful and that you will learn something new!
